Virtual Mobility (VM) grants are a new networking tool launched as a pilot project by the COST Association and valid until 31/10/2021. They aim to foster collaborative research activities, and strengthen networking, exchange of knowledge, etc. in a virtual setting (see https://www.cost.eu/cost-actions/cost-actions-networking-tools/).

Purpose of the Virtual Mobility Grants:

They aim to foster collaborative research activities, and strengthen networking, exchange of knowledge, etc. in a virtual setting.VM grants applications can be submitted on any topic directly related to the objectives of NexusLinguarum and its Working Groups, and involve any range of activities that can be performed in a virtual setting, such as preparation and conducting of surveys, questionnaires, training material for virtual events, etc.  You can find more ideas on activities in Section 10.2.3 of the Vademecum.

Important dates (calls, applications, approval)

  • The 1st call will remain open until the 31st of August, until a maximum of six proposals are granted, or until the allocated budget for VM grants in the current Action’s Grant Period is reached.
  • Evaluation of applications: 10 days after receipt of the application.
  • Period for performing VM grants:  Following approval of the application until the 15th of October 2021.
  • Deadline for reporting: 15 days after the completion of the VM grant.
